For the 2026-27 Nets' season, the Barclays Center debuted a revolutionary AI-enhanced replay system that gives fans something totally new: a near-perfect 3D-recreation of the on-court action.

The Brooklyn Nets debuted a new AI-enhanced 360-degree replay system at the Barclays Center for the 2026-27 NBA season. Powered by an Alibaba AI model and 64 cameras positioned near the arena's suite level, the system constructs a 3D recreation of on-court action within 15 to 20 seconds. The replays were shown on the arena jumbotron and shared on team social media channels.
Meanwhile, Toronto-based startup Peripheral is developing related technology that enables users to navigate any viewpoint across an arena using an Xbox controller. Peripheral, co-founded by Kelvin Cui and Mustafa Khan through the NBA Launchpad incubator, captures volumetric and biomechanical data to aid in player health, coaching, officiating, and interactive fan experiences.
