Norman Powell is poised to serve as a key veteran leader for the rebuilding Chicago Bulls after 11 NBA seasons. Joined by newly acquired Buddy Hield, Powell is one of only two players on the roster older than 28. Powell expressed enthusiasm about guiding his younger teammates both through communication and by leading by example on the floor.
According to Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic, Powell joined Chicago as a free agent following a stint in Miami and is coming off his first All-Star campaign. The veteran guard is expected to play late-game minutes alongside rookie lottery pick Caleb Wilson, who praised Powell's longevity and mentorship.
