Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has taken significant leadership ownership and feels fully healthy ahead of the preseason opener against Cleveland. Offseason addition Mike Conley praised Tatum's active role during training camp at The Citadel in Charleston, noting that Tatum routinely leads team huddles, calls players out, and sets up activities off the court to integrate the heavily revamped roster under head coach Joe Mazzulla.
Tatum organized summer workouts and golf outings in Los Angeles with incoming players, including Paul George, Conley, and Mitchell Robinson. Entering Year 10, Tatum stated he feels far more confident both mentally and physically compared to last March, when he returned at an estimated 80 percent from an Achilles injury.
