Charlotte Hornets head coach Charles Lee and forward Naz Reid have cleared the air following a controversial benching against the Detroit Pistons. Reid did not play in the second half of Wednesday's 97-89 loss after Lee determined he did not meet team standards during the first half. According to Hornets insider Rod Boone, both parties quickly resolved any tension and are ready to move forward.
Reid joined the Hornets from the Minnesota Timberwolves in an offseason trade involving LaMelo Ball. Despite Wednesday's benching, Reid has started the season strongly, averaging 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds across his first four games ahead of Friday's NBA Cup clash against the Washington Wizards.
