Collins returns for his 12th season as television play-by-play announcer and has delivered the call for many of the franchise’s most memorable moments over the past decade.
The Charlotte Hornets announced on Thursday that they are retaining play-by-play announcer Eric Collins and analyst Dell Curry for their in-house television broadcasts. Host and reporter Shannon Spake will also return to complete the broadcast team. Collins enters his 12th season calling games for the franchise, while Curry will begin his 18th season as an analyst and his 12th alongside Collins.
The retention comes as the Hornets transition into a new television distribution era via a partnership with Gray Media and Sinclair across North and South Carolina. WSOC and TV64 will broadcast regional games in the Charlotte market, while DAZN will operate as the team's exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming partner throughout the Carolinas.
