ESPN releases a ‘future’ power rankings, ranks Chicago Bulls as one of the worst

ESPN has published its future power rankings evaluating NBA franchises for the years 2027 through 2029, placing the Chicago Bulls at 27th out of 30 teams. The projection, compiled by analysts Ben Golliver, Zach Kram, Bobby Marks, and Dean Oliver, marks a one-spot rise from Chicago's 28th-place position the prior year. Kram noted that the franchise's long-awaited rebuild is underway, relying on clean cap space and market appeal for a turnaround.

The low projection follows an active offseason for the Bulls, who drafted Caleb Wilson fourth overall and added veterans to the roster. Chicago signed guard Norman Powell to a two-year, $44 million contract and acquired center Nic Claxton in a four-team trade with the Brooklyn Nets, pairing them alongside returning players Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis.
