The Cavaliers shared an injury update Tuesday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Tuesday that forward Nae’Qwan Tomlin is expected to miss approximately three to four weeks due to a lower back stress reaction. The diagnosis was confirmed through an MRI evaluation administered at Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine. The Cavaliers stated that updates regarding Tomlin's status and return to basketball activities will be provided as appropriate.
Tomlin did not appear in any of Cleveland’s three preseason games ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Last season, the forward played in 64 games while averaging 5.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest. The Cavaliers are scheduled to open their regular season on Thursday on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers.
