Cavaliers Get Mario Hezonja Version Magic Never Got

Billy Heyen writes that Mario Hezonja is revitalizing his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, showing form the Orlando Magic never received. Drafted fifth overall by Orlando in 2015, Hezonja previously exited the league as a draft disappointment, but he has become a crucial contributor for Cleveland during his NBA return, which included a 15-point, 10-rebound performance in an NBA Cup win against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Hezonja's Cavaliers contract is not fully guaranteed until November 15, effectively serving as an early-season tryout that the writer says he has passed. Before returning to the United States, Hezonja earned MVP honors in Spain's Liga ACB and guided Real Madrid to a EuroLeague championship.
