Evan Mobley impresses in Cavs annual Wine & Gold scrimmage

The Cleveland Cavaliers held their annual Wine & Gold scrimmage at Public Auditorium on Saturday, with Team Gold defeating Team Wine 96-82. Evan Mobley stood out as the scrimmage's unofficial leading scorer, earning praise from head coach Kenny Atkinson, who called Mobley's performance "elite." Atkinson treated the 36-minute contest as Cleveland's final dress rehearsal before the regular season begins on Thursday.

Mobley displayed strong on-court chemistry alongside James Harden, effectively running pick-and-rolls and attacking off the dribble. Atkinson noted that he expects to pair Mobley and Harden together early in the season. Donovan Mitchell led the scoring for Team Wine, but Atkinson voiced frustration over the squad's lackluster interior and perimeter defense.
