It was in that Eastern Conference finals that Landry Shamet emerged as a folk hero, and now he's back in Cleveland for the night.

Landry Shamet returned to Cleveland's Rocket Arena on Saturday, revisiting the site where he helped the New York Knicks reach the NBA Finals. During the Eastern Conference finals against the Cavaliers, Shamet went 11-for-12 from 3-point range to establish a single-series postseason record. Reflecting on the venue before the matchup, Shamet acknowledged the fond memories while emphasizing that the current season presents a completely new endeavor for the team.
The 29-year-old guard entered Saturday averaging 9.4 points per game while shooting 42.5 percent from beyond the arc. After previously playing on nonguaranteed contracts, Shamet signed a four-year, $24 million contract with New York over the summer and made his first start of the season on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls under head coach Mike Brown.
