"I know I damn sure wasn't good at all," James said.

LeBron James returned to Cleveland with the Philadelphia 76ers and was held to just eight points in a 119-95 loss to the Cavaliers. Facing boos from the home crowd, James remarked afterward that he had previously experienced the "depths of hell" during his 2010 return with Miami, making this reception manageable. Donovan Mitchell paced the Cavaliers with 23 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds in the NBA Cup group stage contest.
James struggled offensively, shooting 3 of 12 from the field across 31 minutes in just the 10th single-digit scoring game of his 24-year regular-season career. Evan Mobley contributed 22 points for Cleveland, while Jaylen Brown led Philadelphia with 20 points. Despite the defeat, Philadelphia remains off to an 8-2 start to the season.
