Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg exited a 121-105 victory over the Indiana Pacers after sustaining a shoulder injury. The incident took place during a breakaway dunk attempt, when Flagg fell hard onto his shoulder following a flagrant foul by Aaron Nesmith. Flagg was unable to return for the second half of the contest.
Mavericks coach Dusty May confirmed that Flagg is dealing with left shoulder soreness and will undergo medical re-evaluation in the coming days. May did not clarify if an MRI will be required, though Flagg notably experienced an injury to the same shoulder during the previous season.
