The Mavericks reveal Cooper Flagg's MRI results after a frightening fall and deliver an important update on his return.

The Dallas Mavericks announced that an MRI on Cooper Flagg revealed a mild left shoulder sprain. Flagg has been ruled out of Saturday's matchup against the San Antonio Spurs and will be reevaluated next week. The injury occurred during Dallas's 121-105 win over the Indiana Pacers when Flagg was fouled by Aaron Nesmith on a fast break, leading to a hard fall onto his left shoulder.
Flagg finished Friday's game with 14 points, five rebounds, and six assists in 17 minutes before leaving. With Flagg sidelined, Dallas head coach Dusty May will likely look to Naji Marshall and Zaccharie Risacher for additional wing minutes.
