While the Dallas Mavericks' depth behind Kyrie Irving once looked extremely concerning, Sergio De Larrea and Marcus Sasser have proven that they're more than capable of filling this role.

Noah Weber of The Smoking Cuban argues that the Dallas Mavericks' previously concerning point guard depth behind Kyrie Irving has rapidly developed into a team strength. With Irving sidelined following a victory over the Indiana Pacers, backup guards Sergio De Larrea and Marcus Sasser delivered standout performances during Dallas' home opener against the San Antonio Spurs.
De Larrea posted 21 points, five rebounds, and four assists while shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc against San Antonio. Meanwhile, Sasser added 12 points and five assists in the matchup, pushing his season averages to 11.7 points and 3.0 assists per game through the first three contests.
