MACAO — Naji Marshall is in China for the first time, and his father made the trip with him as the Dallas Mavericks prepare to open the preseason against the Houston Rockets at The Venetian Arena on Friday.
Naji Marshall has embraced his first trip to China alongside his father as the Dallas Mavericks prepare to open the preseason against the Houston Rockets in Macao. Marshall highlighted the positive energy around the team following the arrival of new head coach Dusty May, as well as his excitement to experience the country and capture scenery on his camera.
The Mavericks enter the new season aiming to rebound from a 26-56 finish, aided by the return of Kyrie Irving from a torn ACL and second-year forward Cooper Flagg. Marshall, who signed a three-year extension worth $52.2 million in August, noted the roster is healthy and focused on returning to postseason contention.
