The Los Angeles Lakers are facing a roster crunch with 16 guaranteed contracts, one over the maximum 15-man limit allowed by the NBA. According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Dalton Knecht and Jaden Hardy are viewed as the most likely candidates to be moved in a consolidation trade or potentially waived before opening night.
Knecht will earn approximately $4.2 million this season, while Hardy is set to make $6 million, with neither holding guaranteed money beyond this year. While trade options have been explored, the Lakers must make a roster move before the regular season begins.
