Nikola Jokic buries the hatchet with Nuggets fans after opening-night boos

Nikola Jokic expressed his appreciation for Denver Nuggets supporters following a 128-109 victory against the Toronto Raptors at Ball Arena. Addressing the crowd after the game, Jokic thanked fans for staying and declared, "I love you guys." The gesture resolved tension stemming from Denver's home opener against the New Orleans Pelicans, when fans booed the team and Jokic criticized the reaction by claiming those booing were not real fans.

David Decker of Nugg Love argues that the rift is now resolved as Jokic has elevated his performance and defensive effort. In the victory over Toronto, Jokic recorded his 90th career triple-double in three quarters, compiling 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists before sitting out the fourth quarter.
