Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic predicted that low-post basketball could completely disappear from the NBA within the next five to ten years. Speaking after a victory over the Toronto Raptors, Jokic explained that modern defensive schemes allow increased physicality in the paint, which diminishes traditional size advantages and discourages players from operating in the post.
Despite recording his 201st career regular-season triple-double against Toronto, Jokic addressed his early-season shooting struggles, having converted 47.2% of field goals and 22.6% of three-pointers. Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman dismissed concerns over the shooting slump, expressing full confidence in Jokic's offensive efficiency over the broader season.
