Many thought the Nuggets had no real depth at backup point guard. Tyus Jones is trying to change those thoughts.

David Decker of Nugg Love argues that Tyus Jones looked right at home operating the Denver Nuggets' offense during their 109-97 preseason defeat against the Utah Jazz. Starting in place of Jamal Murray, who missed the game due to personal reasons, Jones recorded eight points and six assists in 18 minutes of action.
Decker suggests that Jones's passing and perimeter shooting could provide crucial point guard depth alongside two-way signing Ryan Nembhard, who contributed five points and four assists.
