Warriors are ignoring what Nikola Jokic already said about his future

Writer Jordanna Clark argues that the Golden State Warriors are ignoring Nikola Jokic's expressed commitment to remain with the Denver Nuggets. Following reports from NBA insider Jake Fischer that Golden State views Jokic as a potential target to pair with Steph Curry, Clark contends the Warriors' hopes are unrealistic given the superstar center's past statements about staying in Denver.

According to the article, Jokic has publicly stated his desire to remain with the Nuggets long-term and is eligible for a five-year, $350 million contract next offseason. Clark argues that Golden State is no longer an attractive championship destination and asserts Denver can silence external trade interest by securing wins and solidifying Jokic's expected extension.
