The Detroit Pistons have a chance to make the proverbial leap with Daniss Jenkins in the starting lineup—if he can address a key concern.

Maxwell Ogden of PistonPowered writes that Daniss Jenkins is playing his way into contention for a starting spot with the Detroit Pistons alongside Cade Cunningham. Jenkins has scored in double figures in four consecutive games, including 15 points against the Miami Heat, 18 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, and 14 points in an October 28 victory over the Charlotte Hornets, helping offset Jalen Duren's absence.
Ogden argues that promoting Jenkins would require benching John Collins or Duncan Robinson, demanding an offensive overhaul due to size and spacing constraints. According to the analysis, Jenkins must develop into a reliable outside shooter to maintain offensive spacing alongside non-shooter Ausar Thompson and downhill scorer Cunningham.
