John Collins won't be filling Tobias Harris' role exactly for the Pistons.

PistonPowered's Swoosh Shrestha writes that Detroit Pistons fans will need an adjustment period to adapt to John Collins' lack of self-creation compared to former forward Tobias Harris. Shrestha notes that through two preseason games, almost all of Collins' shot attempts have originated from assists or offensive rebounds, contrasting with Harris' ability to create late-clock offense.
The writer argues that while Collins lacks individual shot creation, his off-ball cutting, perimeter shooting, and size will aid teammates like Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, and Ausar Thompson. However, Shrestha cautions that Detroit's offense could struggle if other players do not step up to shoulder the team's shot-creation responsibilities.
