If the Detroit Pistons are still on Kyrie Irving watch early, then they won’t like Tim McMahon’s latest update on the Dallas Mavericks star. With McMahon plugged into the situation over in Dallas, the insider currently doesn’t get a sense…

NBA insider Tim McMahon reported on The Hoop Collective that the Dallas Mavericks are unlikely to trade star Kyrie Irving. While Detroit Pistons trade rumors emerged from Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix, McMahon noted that Irving's strong chemistry with Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks' competitive play make any midseason trade difficult.
Irving is currently averaging 21.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds through five games following his recovery from a major knee injury. Although Justin Grasso argues Irving would fit alongside Cade Cunningham, the Pistons started the season 5-1 and are not desperate for a move.
