Pistons Waive Gary Harris

The Detroit Pistons have waived shooting guard Gary Harris, according to a report by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The 32-year-old guard had previously picked up his $3.8 million player option earlier in the offseason before arriving in Detroit as part of a six-team trade in July.

Harris averaged a career-low 2.7 points in 13.8 minutes per game with the Milwaukee Bucks last season while shooting 41.2 percent from three-point range. Detroit had reportedly weighed keeping either Harris or Taurean Prince for their 14th roster spot.
