Jalen Duren’s long contract saga with the Detroit Pistons is finally over. The young center has secured a huge payday, but Draymond Green believes the bigger challenge could start now.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green cautioned that lingering criticism from staff members during contract disputes can disrupt locker rooms following Jalen Duren's contract agreement with the Detroit Pistons. Speaking on The Draymond Green Show, Green warned that comments from team staff about a player's fitness or performance can breed tension after a prolonged negotiation.
Duren recently agreed to a five-year, $200 million fully guaranteed extension with Detroit. The 22-year-old center averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds last season, earning All-Star honors while helping lead the Pistons to a conference-best 60-22 record. Green praised Duren's accomplishment and urged the franchise to leave the contract drama behind.
