Longtime host Ernie Johnson has announced he is stepping down from his current hosting role on 'Inside The NBA.' Speaking with Front Office Sports, Johnson expressed his hope that the award-winning program continues in some form without him, noting that there are many capable studio hosts who could fill the position.
Johnson also addressed the future of fellow analyst Charles Barkley, stating that any decision regarding Barkley's potential retirement remains Barkley's choice. Johnson has hosted the show since 1990 alongside Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O'Neal, earning 19 Sports Emmy Awards throughout his multi-decade tenure.
