Despite the 127-105 scoreline, the Los Angeles Lakers won an intense matchup against the Golden State Warriors. Luka Doncic and Yaxel Lendeborg repeatedly exchanged words.
Gilbert Arenas dismissed claims that Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg successfully defended Luka Doncic during the Los Angeles Lakers' 127-105 victory. Speaking on his podcast, Arenas argued that Draymond Green's help defense was the real reason Doncic was slowed in half-court situations, calling praise for Lendeborg delusional.
ESPN tracking data reported that Doncic scored only two points on 0-for-4 shooting when Lendeborg served as primary defender. Lendeborg finished with 12 points while criticizing Doncic's on-court complaining, though Doncic still totaled 28 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in the Lakers' win.
