The Golden State Warriors let Pat Spencer walk this offseason to the Phoenix Suns, but his future already doesn't look as bright with his new team.

Writer G.C. Bellchamber argues that Pat Spencer faces a difficult battle to secure playing time with the Phoenix Suns following his preseason debut. After leaving the Golden State Warriors to join Phoenix on a two-way contract, Spencer logged just 7.25 minutes against the Detroit Pistons, recording one point, one assist, and one steal in his first game with the team.
Bellchamber notes that Phoenix's crowded backcourt, which includes Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Collin Gillespie, Jordan Goodwin, and Luke Kennard, severely limits Spencer's path to rotation minutes. Entering his final season of two-way eligibility before unrestricted free agency, failing to earn a consistent NBA role could impact Spencer's long-term career prospects.
