Steve Kerr delivers a surprising update on Stephen Curry’s injury scare during Warriors practice ahead of the Lakers opener.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided an encouraging update after Stephen Curry exited Sunday's open practice at Chase Center. Kerr stated that Curry tweaked his right ankle rather than re-aggravating the troublesome right knee that sidelined him for 27 straight games last season. Curry spoke with Kerr after leaving the scrimmage and reassured the coach that he was fine.
The update provides relief for Golden State just days before Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors are already dealing with several injuries, as Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody, and Kristaps Porzingis remain sidelined. Golden State has not officially stated whether Curry will face restrictions for the opener, but he has not been ruled out.
