After opening the season with six consecutive victories, the Memphis Grizzlies have dropped three straight games due to ongoing turnover issues. In their most recent defeat, a 128-97 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, Memphis committed 18 turnovers that led directly to 30 points for Oklahoma City.
The Thunder took full advantage of the mistakes, with Ajay Mitchell scoring a career-high 35 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributing 28, and Jared McCain adding 21. Memphis struggled offensively, shooting 32% from the field and 22% from three-point range despite gathering 13 offensive rebounds and providing rookie Cameron Boozer with valuable ball-handling reps under coach Tuomas Iisalo.
