This was his first game in more than a year due to a torn Achilles.

Damian Lillard made his return to the NBA court on Wednesday night, marking his first appearance since April 27, 2025. Recovering from a torn left Achilles, Lillard played 19 minutes and recorded 15 points in a preseason victory, while also sharing a starting backcourt with new teammate Ja Morant for the first time.
Lillard shot 5-of-11 from the floor and added two steals in his Portland return. Morant contributed eight points and five assists during the contest. Meanwhile, teammate Deni Avdija led the offense with 23 points in 21 minutes, and Scoot Henderson featured off the bench in a new reserve role.
