Move over, Hillbilly Kobe, because JJ Redick has a new nickname for Austin Reaves.

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick dubbed guard Austin Reaves "Mr. Consistency" following an impressive start to the 2026-27 season. Reaves scored 29 points on 7-for-12 shooting in a 132-123 victory over the Utah Jazz at Delta Center on Sunday, leading a comeback from an 18-point deficit.
The performance helped the Lakers improve to a 3-0 record, with Reaves averaging 26.7 points and 6.3 assists through the first three games. The sixth-year guard, who signed a four-year, $185 million contract extension in the offseason, drew praise from teammates and opponents for his high-efficiency scoring.
