Charlotte Hornets guard Coby White suffered a left calf strain during training camp and will miss the entire preseason, according to the team. The injury leaves White as the second projected starter and third rotation player for Charlotte to sustain a soft-tissue injury ahead of the regular season, joining Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams on the sidelines with hamstring issues.
White re-signed with the Hornets this summer on a three-year, $74 million free-agent deal after being acquired via trade from the Chicago Bulls in February. The 26-year-old dealt with calf strains in both legs during the 2025-26 season, which limited him to a career-low 50 appearances.
