The Houston Rockets face the Oklahoma City Thunder in their third and final preseason game before the regular season begins. Houston enters the matchup with an established rotation following recent additions Marcus Smart and Bogdan Bogdanovic under head coach Ime Udoka. Oklahoma City adjusted its roster in the offseason due to rising payroll obligations for Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder traded Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, and Isaiah Joe, while working in rookies Aday Mara and Bennett Stirtz alongside Jared McCain.
