The Rockets don't need Jabari Smith Jr to be a superstar, but he's been great regardless.

Space City Scoop's Swoosh Shrestha writes that Jabari Smith Jr has shown significant development during the Houston Rockets' 5-1 start to the season. While not reaching superstar volume, Smith is hitting a career-best 43% from three-point range on 5.8 attempts per game and showing improved ability to create his own shot off the bounce.
Shrestha notes that Smith has maintained his defensive impact with 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game, despite his rebounding dropping to five per game. The writer suggests Smith's expanded scoring could prove crucial if Alperen Sengun misses time or defenses focus on Kevin Durant in key games.
