Ja Morant will miss the Blazers’ rematch with the Lakers, and Portland’s next injury checkpoint does not guarantee his return.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant will not play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, Nov. 6. Morant remains sidelined with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain suffered on Oct. 29 against the Memphis Grizzlies. His absence comes as the 6-1 Trail Blazers open their NBA Cup group schedule against the 7-2 Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
The Trail Blazers announced on Oct. 30 that Morant will be reevaluated in four weeks, setting a recovery checkpoint around Nov. 27. Portland enters the contest on a three-game winning streak despite injuries, though Shaedon Sharpe and Vit Krejci are also listed as out.
