Portland Trail Blazers guard Ja Morant will miss at least four weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain. The team announced that Morant suffered the injury on Thursday during a game against his former team, the Memphis Grizzlies, and will be reevaluated in four weeks. The injury is expected to sideline him for most or all of November.
Morant joined the Trail Blazers via trade in June after three injury-plagued seasons in Memphis. Before the injury, he averaged 16.3 points and 6.3 assists across his first three games with Portland. With Morant and Shaedon Sharpe sidelined, Jrue Holiday is expected to step into the starting backcourt alongside Damian Lillard.
