Former Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd stated on ESPN's "NBA Today" that Miami Heat guard Tim Hardaway Jr. must start making shots. Kidd, who previously coached Hardaway in Dallas, urged the veteran to step up his perimeter shooting to help Miami overcome early offensive struggles.
Through his first eight games with Miami, the 34-year-old Hardaway has averaged 5.8 points while shooting 26.5% from 3-point range. Miami signed Hardaway and Klay Thompson in the offseason to improve floor spacing alongside Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
