Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving is projected to be the most in-demand player ahead of the NBA trade deadline, according to reporter Chris Mannix. The Detroit Pistons have been identified as a potential suitor interested in acquiring the 34-year-old guard, with Dallas positioned to receive significant assets in any potential trade package.
Irving is currently in the second year of a three-year, $118.5 million contract featuring a final-year player option. After missing the entire 2025-26 season recovering from an ACL injury, Irving has averaged 21.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds through his first five appearances of the 2026-27 season.
