The Lakers received encouraging news on their first-round pick after a stunning loss to the Warriors, raising hopes for his NBA debut.

Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Cameron Carr was omitted from the official NBA injury report on Saturday, October 31, ahead of Sunday's game against the Toronto Raptors. The 2026 first-round pick had been sidelined with a right oblique strain suffered during the preseason. While his removal indicates he could be cleared to make his NBA debut, head coach JJ Redick has not confirmed if Carr will enter the active rotation.
Carr's potential return follows a frustrating 112-95 Lakers loss to the Golden State Warriors, where Los Angeles surrendered an early 25-point lead despite 37 points from Luka Dončić. Selected 24th overall out of Baylor, the 21-year-old recently resumed full-contact practice with the Lakers' G League affiliate and could eventually provide perimeter shooting alongside Dončić and Austin Reaves.
