The Los Angeles Lakers' new ownership group, led by Joshua Kushner and Bob Iger, has set highly ambitious financial targets for the franchise. After purchasing the team at a record $12.5 billion valuation, the group believes the franchise could be worth at least $30 billion by the end of 2037. Under highly favorable conditions, projections suggest the valuation could potentially reach as high as $62 billion.
To achieve these targets, the owners plan to increase annual revenue from $681 million in 2026 to over $1.6 billion by 2037. A key part of the strategy reportedly involves reclaiming 6,000 season tickets from brokers to sell as single-game tickets, which could raise average ticket prices from $217 to $361. The group also projects significant growth from international expansion, sponsorships, and future media-rights deals.
