The Clippers are the only NBA team that has never retired a jersey for a player from its own history.

Former All-Star forward Blake Griffin voiced frustration over the Los Angeles Clippers' failure to honor the "Lob City" era. Speaking on Front Office Sports' "Portfolio Players," Griffin stated the organization has never invited the team back or honored the core group that featured himself, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan under head coach Doc Rivers. The core reached the playoffs in six straight seasons from 2012 to 2017.
Griffin also reflected on the franchise's history under former owner Donald Sterling and current owner Steve Ballmer, noting that despite never reaching the conference finals, the squad transformed the Clippers from an NBA punchline into a perennial contender. The Clippers remain the only NBA franchise with no retired jerseys.
