Because Brandon Ingram is injured, and is expected to be out for quite some time, Keaton Wagler’s strongest skill could be unlocked.

Marco Antonio Munno writes that Brandon Ingram's Achilles injury could open significant scoring opportunities for rookie Keaton Wagler on the LA Clippers. Alongside Ingram, sidelined perimeter players include Max Strus, Bradley Beal, and Jordan Miller, leaving open rotation spots for the upcoming season. Munno argues that Wagler could step up as a vital secondary offensive option behind Darius Garland.
Wagler, selected fifth overall after leading Illinois to the Final Four, showed progression during Summer League and preseason action. After hitting a game-winner against Golden State and scoring 12 points against Denver, Munno believes the rookie is well-positioned to claim starting minutes and showcase his scoring ability.
