Clippers 2027 Player Preview: Nick Martinelli

Robert Flom previews rookie forward Nick Martinelli's outlook with the Los Angeles Clippers for the 2026–27 NBA season. Selected in the late second round and signed to a two-way contract, the 22-year-old enters the year outside of the regular rotation, with Flom projecting he will primarily play in garbage time or spend extended stints in the G-League.

Flom highlights Martinelli's three-level scoring efficiency and low college turnover rates as his primary offensive strengths. However, the writer notes that defensive limitations against NBA perimeter and frontcourt players remain the biggest barrier to Martinelli securing a permanent rotation spot.
