The LA Clippers had an open two-way spot, and with it, they decided to use it on a failed draft prospect.

The LA Clippers have re-signed guard Cam Christie to a two-way contract after previously waiving him, according to reporter Shams Charania. Clipperholics writer Iliyan Lakhani criticizes the front office's decision, arguing that bringing back the draft prospect represents poor roster management and a wasted roster spot.
Lakhani points to Christie's past struggles to justify moving on, noting that he averaged just 2.6 points across 68 regular-season games while shooting 24.5% from three-point range. The writer argues that following underwhelming performances in both the 2026 Summer League and preseason, the Clippers should have used the spot on center depth or another free agent.
