As Rui Hachimura’s shooting woes continue through the start of the regular season, it’s becoming clear the Clippers may have overpaid for him.

Clipperholics writer Iliyan Lakhani argues that the LA Clippers may have overpaid for forward Rui Hachimura following an inefficient start to the season. After signing a contract worth $14 million annually with a club option, Hachimura is averaging just 10.8 points while shooting 28.6% from the field across the team's initial 1-4 start.
Lakhani highlights that the 28-year-old is also struggling from the free-throw line at a career-low 58.3%. While Hachimura has provided value as a rebounder, the writer notes that the eventual returns of Brandon Ingram, Bradley Beal, and Max Strus could help improve his offensive production.
