Although Kobe Sanders hasn’t done much scoring so far in the regular season, he’s still shining brightly for the LA Clippers as a sophomore.

Iliyan Lakhani of Clipperholics writes that LA Clippers guard Kobe Sanders is excelling defensively in his sophomore season despite limited scoring output. Through his first two games, Sanders is averaging only 3.5 points on 33.3 percent shooting, but his strong individual defense helped secure an opening-night victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Lakhani highlights Sanders' team-leading 94.4 defensive rating among players averaging at least 15 minutes. The writer notes Sanders held Sacramento rookie Darius Acuff Jr. to 5-of-24 shooting and also spent key minutes defending Luka Doncic during the matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
