It’s safe to say Ty Lue is proud of Natalie Nakase and also wants her to take care of her health. On Tuesday, Lue was asked if he’s talked to Nakase after the Golden State Valkyries reached the WNBA Finals…

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue shared a humorous yet caring warning for Golden State Valkyries head coach Natalie Nakase ahead of the WNBA Finals. Speaking on Tuesday, Lue joked that Nakase better remember to eat so she does not pass out on the court again. The lighthearted remark referred to Nakase collapsing during a first-round playoff victory over the Dallas Wings two weeks prior.
Nakase explained she often forgets to eat while absorbed in game preparation, though family and assistant coaches are now monitoring her meals. The Valkyries defeated the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals to reach the Finals against the Atlanta Dream. Lue praised his former assistant, expressing pride in her coaching success and confidence that she did not need any of his Finals advice.
