The Story in 60 Seconds

The NBA issued a $2,000 postgame flopping fine to Los Angeles Lakers forward Ziaire Williams following a retroactive review of an incident during Sunday's 132–123 win over the Utah Jazz. The violation occurred with 4:44 remaining in the fourth quarter when Williams exaggerated contact against Jazz guard Keyonte George to draw an offensive foul call.

Williams is the third player disciplined under the league's intensified anti-flopping enforcement for the 2026–27 season, joining Paul George and Kasparas Jakučionis. Despite the fine, the 25-year-old forward has started the season strongly under head coach JJ Redick, helping the Lakers achieve a 3–0 record.
