The LA Lakers and the Golden State Warriors met in the NBA Cup on Friday, opening Group C play.

Stephen Curry crossed over and dropped Luka Doncic with an ankle-breaker during the Golden State Warriors' 112-95 NBA Cup victory over the LA Lakers on Friday. The viral play occurred when Curry used a body feint at the top of the key to send Doncic falling to the floor before sinking a 3-pointer, sparking widespread mockery across social media.
Despite the highlight-reel moment overshadowing his night, Doncic finished the game with 37 points, six defensive rebounds, two blocks, and one steal. Curry contributed 31 points to lead Golden State to victory, later admitting during a postgame interview that he did not expect the crossover move to turn out so nasty.
